What to check before you book

Being listed here isn’t a guarantee. Ask any provider, including our picks:

  • Are you still operating? Search the business on ABN Lookup. A cancelled ABN means it has closed.
  • Do you hold a permit to carry waste fuel? Drained fuel is waste. In Victoria, check the EPA Victoria public register.
  • Are you registered for GST? ABN Lookup shows this. A business that isn’t registered can’t charge you GST.
  • Where can I read your reviews? A Google Business Profile with a real location and genuine reviews is a good sign.
  • Will you attend if I’ve driven the car? Some providers only drain cars that were never started.
  • What’s the total price? Ask for one figure covering call-out, drain, flush, fuel disposal and new fuel.

How we build this list

We search for mobile wrong fuel services in each state and link to each one’s own website. Service areas are as the provider describes them. The checks on each card (ABN, GST and, in Victoria, the EPA permit register) come from public records on the date below. Apart from our picks, providers are ordered by how many of those checks we could confirm.

Last checked: 25 October 2026

Spotted a mistake, or run a service we missed? Tell us through our contact page and we’ll check it. Businesses can ask to correct or remove their listing.
